In order to help fund the restoration of Japan’s Kumamoto Castle in the wake of powerful earthquakes that shook the Kumamoto and Oita Prefectures in 2016, Sapporo is offering Black Label beer in special cans adorned with an image of the castle accented by cherry blossoms. It’s not often you can say that a beer can is beautiful.
The product will hit shelves for a limited time beginning on March 22nd and will be available in eight Kyushu Prefectures: Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Okinawa. 10 yen from every can sold will be donated to restoration of the castle, which is considered one of the most popular in Japan.
